Day 1: Marrakech - Dades Valley:
Starting from 8 am, the desert tour from Marrakech to the Dades Gorge takes about 7 hours, where you’ll pass through the Atlas Mountains, as well as traditional Berber villages. You will also visit the UNESCO Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, which is a village that originated 12,000 years ago, and was an important part of the Salt Road.
Today, it is famous for being a popular location for Hollywood movies and TV series. The famous movies filmed here include Indiana Jones, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and the TV series Game of Thrones, season 3. Here, you will have lunch in the picturesque village, where structures are still being used and make for the perfect opportunity to indulge in local food amidst an authentic ancient village.
The next stop in your Marrakech to Fes desert tour 3 days will be a visit to Ouarzazate, before heading to the Dades gorge through Skoura and the rose valley. Once you reach the Dades gorge, you will end the day and retire at a traditional kasbah.
Day 2: Dades valley - Merzouga
After breakfast, today’s journey will start by driving along the road of 1001 Kasbahs to Tinghir oasis.
You will be enjoying the amazing scenery along the way of the remaining fortified villages that were hosting the caravan roads until the early 2Oth century.
Upon arrival at Tinghir, which was a military post during the French occupation, we will deviate into a secondary road to the oasis. Feel free to walk next to the stream and watch the locals farming and herding their cattle. Your walk will end at one of the magnificent scenes of your tour Todgha Gorges.
After lunch at leisure at one of the local cafés, we continue to Rissani, which is one of the holiest towns in Morocco as the actual dynasty ruling Morocco ‘’ The Alaouites ‘’ is originated here, and its founder is buried locally. Rissani is also famous as a starting point of the ancient caravan roads crossing the Sahara desert all the way to Tombouctou.
Mid-afternoon, we will cross some rocky terrain all the way to Merzouga, where our camel caravan will be waiting for you. Enjoy a camel ride over Erg Chebbi dunes to watch an amazing sunset, before we return to our Sahara desert camp.
Enjoy dinner under the stars while entertained by our local nomad hosts playing their drums all night.

Day 3: Merzouga - Fes:
On the third day of our Marrakech to Fes desert tour 3 days, we will wake you up early in the morning to be able to watch the marvelous sunrise (optional), you will have your breakfast and shower, then the morning camel trek back to Merzouga, where you will meet your driver/guide and then start the journey to Fes.
On the way, we will pass by Errachidia, the biggest administrative city in the desert region. Then we will stop for a panoramic view of the magnificent Ziz valley. From there, continue to the city of apples Midelt, where we can have lunch or continue a little further to the small village of Zaida for lunch. On the way to Fes, we will pass by the Cedar forest of Azrou, where the wild monkeys are. It will be an opportunity to take photos of the wilderness in Morocco and feed the monkeys. Please, keep in mind that they are wild and not always present there. The journey will continue to Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland.
